Statement necklace is a popular jewelry piece to wear, especially in the summer. But which outfit can you wear one with? I’m helping you with these 7 outfit ideas to wear with a statement necklace. However, be creative, if you have any other suggestions, I’d love to know them in the comment below!

1. Dress up your boyfriend jeans

I love the relaxed look of a pair of boyfriend jeans, but sometimes they’re so baggy I look like I’m a prisoner. Anyone feel the same way, no? The trick is to use big bold statement jewelry to balance out the bulk, in this case I’m wearing this Katz Meow Creations statement necklace, and don’t forget to throw in some heels to polish up the look.

2. Pair with a maxi dress

Maxi dress is one of my favorite outfits to pair with a statement necklace. And it takes no time to put together the look! Just one dress, one necklace, and shoes. BOOM, you’re done! 3. Pair with a Little Black Dress (LBD)

If you’re wearing an LBD, long or short, try adding a pop of color or sparkle with a statement necklace. The one I’m wearing in this post would make such a lovely pop for a daytime look. But if you’re going out on an evening, I’d try a more neutral necklace, or one that is more on the sparkle side, I love this crystal one.

4. Dress up a basic tee

The perfect way to dress up a simple basic tee is to add a bold statement. You can even wear a longer statement necklace for a chic look. Or wear one that sits right on top of the neckline to make the jewel look like it’s a part of your collar! Try something like this necklace, or even bigger like this one.

5. Brighten up a denim top with bright neon colors

Again, the necklace I’m wearing in this post (pics above) would go perfectly with a denim top. (Seriously just how versatile is this amazing necklace?) It doesn’t have to be a denim top, it could be a black button up, or an olive tunic. Adding a bright colorful necklace will instantly change the mood of your outfit!

6. Stay in the same color family

Alright, this is something I often do when paring any outfit, not just for a statement necklace. I know some people like to go for contrast (colors of the opposite sides on the color wheel). However, I think a look with colors in the same family (colors next to each other on the color wheel) will make the look more harmonious and easier to wear. For example, blue and green look good together. That’s why in the outfit above I put my green necklace next to the blue details of my top. Similarly, if it were a yellow top, since green and yellow are next to each other on the color wheel, the green necklace would go just as great!

7. Wear a monochromatic necklace with a print top

And vice versa, a mixed color necklace with a solid color top. For example, if your top has a busy colorful pattern, wear a necklace of one single color to stand out from the print. But if your top is a plain solid color, you can play with a mix of different colors on a necklace, like this beautiful floral one.
