First and foremost, Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already 2023. Like a lot of people, I like to take this time of year to think about ways to invest in myself and my wardrobe. One great wardrobe investment everyone should make at some point in their life is a new winter coat. When I’m looking for a new coat I look for durability, something that will last a few years. But I also want something that will not only keep me warm but will keep me looking good too.

My favorite Abercrombie & Fitch coats

They’re are plenty of great coat options on the market right now that fit the bill. But today I want to talk about some of my favorite coats from Abercrombie & Fitch. Abercrombie & Fitch offers plenty of fashionable yet functional coats that are perfect for everything from a night out with friends to everyday use getting to the office or making a quick run to the grocery store.

I hope today’s list will help you decide which Abercrombie & Fitch coat is right for you.

Wool-Blend Mod Coat

Long tailored coats are incredibly on trend right now. Abercrombie & Fitch’s version comes in six amazing variations including a beautiful neutral light brown, three brown plaids, and a stunning black and white houndstooth. If you’re feeling extra bold it also comes in a cream sherpa textured option as well.

Wool-Blend Dad Coat

I love this coat because it comes in neutral colors like dark and light brown that will pair well with any outfit. But Abercrombie & Fitch also offers this coat in a couple of bold plaids for those looking for a more unique look. It even comes in a daring red which is perfect if you like to make a statement with your coat.

Wool-Blend Trench Coat

A classic trench coat isn’t for everyone. But if you’re looking to step outside the box with your next coat try Abercrombie & Fitch’s wool-blend trench coat. Its large collar can be overwhelming for some frames, but styled right this coat can make you stand out in the crowd.

Ultra Mid Puffer

Winter comes with a lot of wind and a lot of moisture. That’s why I love that Abercrombie & Fitch is offering this puffer coat this year. It’s made with wind and water resistant materials. Something about the mid length is flattering.

Long-Length Wool-Blend Slim Coat

Adding a faux fur collar is a great way to add a little bit of visual interest but still stay warm. With its classic style, this coat can make you look sophisticated and fashionable at the same time.

How to style your Abercrombie & Fitch Coat if you're petite

You might have noticed that most of these coats are long. And as a petite woman, a question that I hear all the time is “can petite women wear long coats”. My answer to that is absolutely! You  just need to know how to style it.

A lot of sources suggest petites to avoid long coats and go for mid length instead, but I think a long coat is warmer and could work wonders for a petite frame. Here are a few tips:

  1. Pair your long coat with high knee boots, or sneakers.
  2. Don’t wear ankle boots or calf length boots. Doing so would throw the outfit’s proportions off.
  3. If you’d like a more defined waist, a long coat with a belt is great. But make sure the coat is made for petites. In my experience, when coats aren’t specifically for petites they sit way too low. Usually  on my hip instead of my waist!
