As you can see, even though sunny, it was a very windy day, and the weather was a bit chilly. So I paired the strapless smocked dress with a cozy teddy cardigan (similar). This dress is strapless, very easy to pull up, and the material is cotton. That makes it a great swim coverup as well.

The new Chloé Woody tote bag

My tote bag is from the Chloé Summer 2021 Woody tote bag collection, in size Medium. I actually first purchased size Large first. And thought it was way too large for my petite frame, so I returned and exchanged to a Medium size. When I used it on our Memorial Day trip, I wish I hadn’t changed to Medium and kept the Large instead. If you want to use this bag as a beach or travel tote, I would recommend going with the Large. I will probably keep the Medium though, this size is great for an every day bag. It depends on what you’re planning on using the bag for, they offer a Small, Medium and Large.

This Chloé Woody tote bag is made out of canvas material and has shiny leather detailing. It also features the big bold letterings of the brand name. I know big brand letters/logo may not be for some people. To be honest, I was hesitant myself wearing such large brand letters. However I do think it is a very cute and stylish summer bag. Plus the letterings are pretty and feminine, so I decided to get it. Now I really like it and I think it makes a bold fashion statement for sure.

To complete my outfit with this affordable spring maxi dress, I wore this wide brim hat. It is packable because you can fold it into halves or even thirds, quarters without breaking it. The hat is available in 6 colors, and under $70! Although I don’t love wearing a hat on such windy days, it definitely kept the sun out of my face when the wind isn’t blowing.

This combo of a dress and light weight cardigan has been my go-to for all season. We still get chilly mornings and evenings, and sometimes rainy cold days so this is the perfect outfit.
