I wear sunglasses almost every single day of my life. If you live in Colorado, or any other sunny state, you’ll understand we Coloradan girls don’t just want sunglasses, we NEED them! No matter summer or winter, the sun is always in your eyes, 300s days a year. Therefore I love sunnies and have a decent collection. I have about 3 cheap $10 glasses for hitting the pool, going on a hike or taking our dogs to the dog park, because those are when I will most likely lose my sunnies or scratch them. But then I always keep in rotation a couple pairs of designer sunglasses for going to brunches, dinner dates, some parties, or traveling to nice places. However, designer sunnies could add up and get pricey. In this post, I’ll show you how you can get unlimited designer sunglasses for cheap.

I’ve recently discovered Ditto, a Netflix service for your designer sunnies. For $24/month, you can rotate through any pair of designer sunnies UNLIMITEDLY. Another perk is that you get a 15% OFF discount if you decide to purchase them. That 15% off discount alone is already attractive enough to me. Let me explain more about Ditto!

The cost and what you get:

For $24/month, you can rotate through their wide selection of designer sunglasses, men’s and women’s styles. In this post I refer specifically to sunglasses, but if you have a good non-expired prescription, you can also get unlimited designer optical for $34/month. And by designer, I’m referring to Burberry, Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Rayban, my favorite Karen Walker, and so much more. They update their collection every once in a while, so you always have fresh styles to pick from.

And if you absolutely love your current pair and would like to purchase them to keep forever, they are 15% OFF! This doesn’t apply to an old pair that you previously had. If you decide to buy an old pair, you would have to swap back to that pair first, and then purchase them.

How to swap the glasses:

As long as your membership is in good standing, you can swap any pair UNLIMITEDLY. Yes, that means if you like a pair you can keep it forever, month after month. However, if you put them on the first time and realize they’re too big, too dark, you don’t like how they sit on your nose (uhm, hello Asian face problems), or you just hate them for no reason, you can immediately pick another pair on their website, and the new swap will be sent to you. Then you will have the luxury of keeping both old pair and new pair for 5 days before you have to send the old pair back to Ditto (you will be charged a late fee per week if you don’t send the old pair back past 5 days).

My thought and discount code:

I love love love Ditto, and I think it’s such an amazing idea. I own a pair of Miu Miu that Dylan bought be last Fall before I learned about Ditto. It was this pair, the cost was $415 + tax. And although I do love them, I feel like comes Fall, and Miu Miu rolls out new styles, I will want another pair then! If you do the math, at $24/month with Ditto, I will have to wear this pair for at least a year and a half to make purchasing worth it. And at the risk of sounding like a sunglasses snob, I don’t know about not getting bored of the same pair for that long.

Another reason why I think Ditto is a great service. God forbid, if I lose my pair that Dylan bought me, we’d be out of pocket $415 + tax! With Ditto, they do have a fine if you lose or damage the glasses (to the point of unrepairable) of 85% of retail price. So I know that doesn’t completely cover it, it’s still better than losing 100% of your money!

    I miss my Karen walkers! They’re my fav too. I’m notorious for losing sunglasses so I never buy any for more that 15$ because of that. I’m ridiculously forgetful. I adore you in all these looks and good lord your hair is to die for.

    Rotating sunglasses for $24 / month sounds like a good deal judging that trends are always evolving and it doesn’t make sense to invest on one designer piece and not get to try other designs. Great post Lily!
