My Halley ‘Da Vinci’ Watch Review

If you love simplicity and minimality, you will fall in love with Halley Watches. The watches are unique and beautiful. Each has one single hand with the minute hand omitted, the design will surely give you the most unique ultra-minimalistic look.

Each watch is numbered and limited, and comes inside a beautiful leather box with a Certificate of Authenticity. This watch I received is in style “Da Vinci” which features a brown genuine leather strap with a gold trimmed dial. I love gold, and in my humble opinion gold goes perfect with brown. Having a warm skin tone, I know for a fact gold and brown will always look amazing on me. And they do. I love this watch on me. It exudes such a classic beauty that it looks like it could have cost me thousands of dollars, but I’m glad it didn’t!

Because of the clean simple look, it is totally okay to wear it alone or stack it with other bracelets or jewelries. It is also designed to look spectacular no matter the dress code, on men or women. It looks amazing with my slouchy sweater at home cuddling with my dog, as well as with a fancy black jumpsuit and other shiny jewelries.

Yes, I know the question we all ask: how the heck do I tell time if there’s only one single hour hand? Because the purpose of this watch is so you don’t. No, you won’t be able to tell time to the exact minute, so please don’t wear it if you need to go to an important work meeting, you have a phone for that don’t you? The watch was designed to have a different meaning. It is meant to remind its owner to slow down, enjoy the present time, stop living life to the very minute. “After all, life is a journey to be enjoyed- not rushed”, said Josh – Halley Watches founder. Plus, after wearing it for a week now, I can surprisingly approximate time within 15 min window from the position of the hour hand and seriously, that’s all the info I need.

    I have been looking for a piece like this since forever! I know there are so many who promotes Daniel Wellington watches but it seems like everyone has them and I want something more unique.     I’ve been really getting into watches lately (I just got one from Anne Klein that I love love love), but I haven’t heard of this brand. I love the philosophy behind not having a minute hand – it’s so unique! Plus the watch itself is so classic. My watch is slightly more feminine and I love it, but I’m also looking for a few different styles to add, so I’ll definitely have to give Halley Watch a look – thanks for the discount code!
