We took a week long trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and Orange County, California in early February. Even though it was the middle of winter time, it was nice we could enjoy some days of warmer weather. Personally, I was not able to swim in the beach. But it was warm enough to wear a sun dress and a cardigan. And that’s the combo I wore every day while we were on the trip. Here are 4 maxi dresses I packed for our beach vacation, which I mixed and matched with different cardigans.
English Factory green ruffle sleeve maxi dress for a beach trip
The prettiest ruffle sleeve with a flirty sweetheart neckline got me so excited about this dress. This was one of the maxi dresses I packed for our beach vacation. The green is vibrant and is the perfect pop of color for a sunny day. I wore this dress at Huntington Beach, but I also wore it to the colorful tourist spot Seven Magic Mountains just outside of Las Vegas.
I paired it with this blue Chloe cardigan from Free People, because the blue-green combo is so pretty and perfect for the beach.
Charlie Holiday pink cover-up maxi dress for a beach trip
This is a cover-up dress from Charlie Holiday. It’s easy to put on and take off thanks to the tie strings on the shoulder. But it works perfectly as a maxi dress. Here is the white gingham version of it. I also wore it with this peplum cardigan for added warmth.
English Factory tie-dyed tiered midi dress
This tie dyed midi (almost maxi) dress is a pastel and ruffle dream. The tie dye color combo is in soft pastel colors, perfect for spring. The dress is made of chiffon, so I would say a bit dressier for a beach look. It’s perfect for a walk on the pier, going shopping, or romantic dinner date near the beach. You can wear sneakers for a dressed down look, or heels for a more dressed up look.
Free People Feeling Groovy flowy maxi dress for a beach vacation
The last of the maxi dresses I packed on our beach vacation was this very flowy Free People Feeling Groovy dress in pink floral. So flowy, and so romantic. I actually wore it to our visit at Santa Monica beach, walked around the pier, and went to dinner. The movement is absolutely stunning, and the color and floral details are everything.
The dress fits oversized, so I added a belt to define the waist and a pink felt hat to balance out the fit.
Do you like wearing dresses on vacation? I always enjoy wearing a dress while we’re on a trip, especially if it’s at the beach.
