Mixing stripes and stripes

My family and I just booked our very first cruise trip to the Bahamas for the summer, I’m so excited. I’ve heard good and bad things about going on a cruise, but since we’ve never gone before, I thought we should give it a try and see for ourselves. I know it’s too early right now to be excited about summer vacation, but since we had to book the tickets, that got me thinking about the trip and what to wear!

I was gifted this cute stripe dress from Almost Famous Clothing and immediately thought of the trip to warmer sunny weather. So what’s better way to wear it with a sun hat and summer wedges!

I know wearing too much stripes in one single outfit could make it look very busy, but in this case I think it works because of the sizes of the stripes were very similar to each other, and they were all going in the same direction. This dress is available here for $34, and I think it’s a bargain for being this cute!

So what do you think about my all stripe outfit? Is it too much to wear stripes from head to toe?

    That has to be one of the cutest stripe dress that I’ve ever see, it’s so pretty on you! And yay to Bahamas cruise! My MIL and her partner love going on cruises, it’s really fun…I’m not sure if it’s senior people kid of fun but hey, let us know how you like it!

    Ooh, cruises are so fun! I went on one around Europe and it was ah-mazing. There was tons of things to do, activities for all ages and just really fun in general. I hope you like it; the Bahamas sound great!

    I think in theory stripes on stripes on stripes can be weird, but I think you’ve pulled it off! Honestly I didn’t even realize your shoes were striped but the dress definitely went well with the hat!

    My husband’s family loves cruises, but I’m slightly terrified to go on one incase I get sea sick! This outfit definitely fits that lovely sunny weather:) I’m pro stripes, and the hat is so complimentary for the dress! You look absolutely darling!

    You are too darn cute, I swear! I don’t personally like stripes or preppy outfits, but I do have a few in my closet and they do ALL have the same stripe size. I think that’s an important factor to consider when purchasing stripe pieces, like you’ve mentioned 🙂
