Style resolution: wear bright (even in winter) and how I got a $148 dress new for $37

Guys, I’m so excited to share with you this cute bright salmon color dress from Naven that I found new with tags for a fourth of the original price! Yes, you read that right! The dress is brand spanking new with the tags still attached that reads $148, but I only paid $36.99.

I got it from thredUP, an online boutique that carries a lot of like-new items from a variety of brands, even designer brands like Kate Spade, Lululemon, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, etc. you name it, for up to 90% discount. Sometimes when you find a great deal, the item is even new with tags still attached but your price is at a bargain! Like this dress I found. I originally browsed the store by my size, found this dress I loved, and did some googling around and realized the dress was originally sold for $148, but is now on thredUP for only $36.99! So naturally, I had to Add to Cart!

And you know what’s great? When you’re done with your clothing, not just the same one you bought, or any other item, you can send it to thredUP. They cover the shipping and pay you for your item! Isn’t that a great way to refresh your closet so you can get “new” stuff all the time without paying the full price, or keeping the out of style stuff?

Now with this dress, I know it’s a bright color for the season right now. But I want to make a New Year’s resolution for my style, it’s something I think is nice to try out. Why don’t I try out a bright number to change it up? Just because it’s cold, doesn’t mean your ouftit has to be boring right? Add a bright color, add a fun detail, switch it up! I still wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty neutral so I don’t go overboard with the brights, so I have the white jacket and black OTKs! Do you have a style resolution for 2016?
