If you’re looking for a place to stay at the Denver Cherry Creek area, here is one great hotel for you. The Halcyon – a hotel in Cherry Creek. We (my husband Dylan and I along with our two pups Brodie and Lulu) had the pleasure of staying at this hotel the weekend before last and overall we were impressed.
First off, this hotel is located at a convenient location with walking distance to stores and shops around the Cherry Creek Shopping Mall area. It’s on a small street off of the main one, so you get the location without all the noise and crowd. I love that private but still being there feeling. If you have a car, they offer valet parking with in and out privileges.
We checked in late because earlier in the afternoon I had visited the Style Social event hosted by the very same hotel. I went with a blogger girlfriend (pic or it didn’t happen). Then drove back home to pick up Dylan and the doggies. The hotel lobby offers complimentary beverages (coffee, wine, etc.) and snacks till late. We arrived late so we missed the yummy snacks. But I had gotten some with wine earlier when I attended the Style Social, so I was satisfied.
After exploring the hotel that afternoon and later in the evening, I noticed the overall decor palette. Beautiful gold and marble details are placed through out the hotel and the guest rooms. Marble and gold is such a popular decor trend right now and it’s ones of my decor obsessions. My favorite thing in our room is the bathroom. So much gold and marble! Anyone in the home decor business can tell you, the bathroom is the second top thing that sells the place! Is it true when you look at a hotel’s review, you look for the bathroom pictures and decide whether you’re staying or not by how amazing that bathroom looks? So let me present to you, the bathroom.
Now for the room, I love the use of space and the availability of all the things you would need during your stay: a closet with provided hangers, bathrobes and slippers, iron and iron board, wine and whiskey glasses, can of wine, bottle of rum, coffee machine, etc. And for staying here, you get unlimited amount of beverages. In your room, you get 2 bottles, one for still water and one for sparkling water. On every floor (near the elevator), you will see a little station with a fancy water fountain looking thing and mugs. From there comes your unlimited still water, sparkling water and coffee. I mean, heck yes! I’ve stayed at many hotels before and they make you pay for water at a marked up price. Here at the Halcyon, sparkling water and house brewed coffee are given, all the time!
And some of the things that make Dylan so excited: a record player and classic tracks from his favorite artists! We had Bob Dylan, Pink Lloyd and Creedence. He loves these artists, how did they know! Dylan had so much fun putting the music on and playing with the record player. It was nice to have these classics playing while relaxing in our room.
The Halcyon hotel is pet friendly. So bring your furry friends and let them know. Brodie and Lulu were spoiled with yummy homemade treats upon arrival, they loved these snacks! Lulu (our smaller golden brown dog) also loves the big double doors and the balcony. She sits by the doors staring out there all morning. She loves sun bathing, and our room gets lots of sun earlier in the morning.
Our stay at the Halcyon in Cherry Creek was perfect. Some of our most favorite things were: unlimited beverages either from the fountains on each floor or from the lobby, the record player with classic tracks, and comfortable spacious place. I’ve always loved staycations as they’re a lovely way to see your city from a new perspective and discover things you never would otherwise. Besides, it saves you from the hazzle of going somewhere far away to relax. Judging by the pictures the Halcyon Hotel was the perfect place for just that! 🙂

I love the modern, swanky vibe of this hotel and it will surely be our top place to stay when visiting the area. The thoughtful details like the record player and unlimited beverages sound like fun too. It looks like you guys had a wonderful time! Btw, staycations are my favorite thing to do lately. Ok that bathroom is like my dream bathroom. Marble everywhere combined with gold and copper. Even the faucets and shower head! YES. Minimalism and industrial meets and makes a perfect combo. The room looked absolutely lovely, I hope you really enjoyed your stay!
