And this time, my Empoword is Mama Bird and just the word itself already gives me all the feels.

Mama Bird

To fill you in, I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant with our very first baby. I know it’s technically too soon for me to say that I’m a mama. However, there is a strength that I’ve felt for months now. It may seem ironic to say being pregnant powers me because if anything it takes the energy away from me. But I’m talking about a different kind of power and strength. The kind that makes me feel like a superwoman, that I can do anything. Yes, I get up every morning with a backache worse than crawling into bed the night before. But there’s a little girl, whom I created. From tiny little cells. I made a human with my blood and flesh from virtually nothing. If you don’t think that takes super power and strength, I don’t know what does. I feel like a super woman, or even more, a lot more than super woman. Because a man could be superman, but without a woman, this baby making task would just be a bust. And for all the beautiful and powerful feelings that I feel empowered by, I’m a Mama Bird.
