5 Shirtdress Must-haves to transition you to Fall

Did you know it’s now officially Fall? The first day of Fall was three days ago. I know it’s crazy that the temperature is still hot. That makes it hard to dress for the weather, when it gets cold in the evening or early morning. The one item that you need that is perfect for this kind of half-summer, half-fall weather is a shirtdress. Check out these 5 ways a shirt dress can save the day (and night)!

1. Fall colors:

Nothing screams Fall more than this outfit with a grey shirtdress, a burgundy hat, a light beige hand bag, and some booties.

 

2. Chambray or Denim:

So cute and a little more summer-y, wear a sleeveless or long sleeve chambray shirt dress. You could even do a denim shirt dress and that’s super chic too!

 

3. Shift dress:

Does it get any cuter than this polka dot shift dress and some bow shoes? And a fringe clutch?? One of my favorite outfits!! Wear a jacket if it’s on a cooler day!

 

4. Stripes:

Get office-ready with this stripe shirt dress. So classy, so simple, yet so chic!

 

5. Plaid pattern:

Plaid shirtdress is one of fall staples you must have! However, since it’s still warm, I opted in for this light-weight grid-patterned print. But time to wear the “real” plaid pattern is coming real soon!

    I know! It’s been such a challenge finding the perfect balance of comfort and seasonally appropriate, since it’s been warm! Thankfully it’s been cooling down more around here (New York) because I really love the fall and of course the fashion!

    I absolutely love this list of must haves. My favorite one is definitely shift dresses, not only because they’re so effortless, but because it means I can eat whatever I want without worrying about getting any dreaded post-meal muffin tops. 😉

    Love the plaid and shift dress! I’ve been hesitant to try on shirt dresses and didn’t think they would be me, but the more I see, the more I’m finding great options. Thanks for all of your great styling suggestions!

      I know what you mean. Shirt dresses are hard, because they could be too short, or too long, could be too loose, or too tight. It’s tricky to get that one that fits your body type. You just gotta make sure you try them on before purchasing. I was lucky to have purchased a couple online and they fit well 🙂 Hope you find something you like xoxo
