13 swoon worthy blogger nurseries

Dylan and I are working on our baby girl’s nursery. So naturally I’ve been lurking on Pinterest and other blogs big time for inspiration.

If you are also looking for ideas for a nursery, keep scrolling. I collected boys, girls and gender neutral themed nurseries from bloggers with links directly to their posts. That way you can click to see more details of the room.

So here we go: 13 swoon worthy bloggers’ nurseries.

1. Katey McFarlan’s girl nursery

Katey wanted a really soft and delicate look in her baby girl’s nursery. She also says that she knows this room will be cluttered fast . So she decided to keep the color theme light and soft to avoid overwhelm. That’s smart thinking mama.

2. Emily Gemma’s boy nursery

Emily wanted a simple, charming and prince-like nursery for her baby boy. And she did such a great job putting this room together with prince charming theme. If you’re curious of where she got her crib and dresser/changing table, they are from here. Emily didn’t mention where in her post, although she did promise a full post with details soon. I however did plenty of research and found them at this store.

3. Rach Parcell’s girl nursery

If anyone could do feminine and sophisticated at the same time and do that well, it’s Rachel Parcell. Her baby girl’s nursery couldn’t be any more swoon worthy. I love all the grand details of the room, and the touches of pink are done well. Not overly pink, this nursery is feminine and chic!

4. Bethany’s girl nursery

Bethany combines traditional and modern pieces to create this transitional themed nursery for her second daughter. She found this precious dresser and gave it a paint job of light peachy pink color with gold knobs. She says it is her favorite piece in the nursery and it is mine too. We could all learn from this tip, adding a pop of color in a somewhat light and neutral room to bring out the room’s personality.

5. Rach Parcell’s boy nursery

Rach did an amazing job on her girl’s nursery, and again showed off how well she could decorate a masculine space. Combining blue and brown with touches of gold, her baby boy’s nursery shows off the Rach Parcell’s signature sophisticated feel. Yet at the same time adorable!

6. Ceres Ribeiro’s girl nursery

Ceres designed her little girl’s room with the source of inspiration from a crown canopy. It is perfect and is a room every princess could ask for. She also had to work with small space and little storage room, but it definitely doesn’t show at all. Sophia’s is airy, light and just the right amount of girly princess feel.

7. Katelyn Jones’s girl nursery

Besides being such a gorgeous mama, Katelyn is also so great at putting this adorable nursery together for her baby girl. I love each and every single pink detail. The floral wall decor is my favorite accent and totally makes the room.

8. Jenna’s boy nursery

For her baby boy’s room, Jenna chose to work with gray, blue and pops of turquoise (also to keep her house color theme consistent). She also has installed a reclaimed wood wall in the room and that adds such a great boyish element. Other decor pieces like the World Map wall art she added, together with the soft and cute stuffed animals in the room make this an adorable space for her baby boy.

9. Michelle’s boy nursery

This room was designed for Michelle by her blogger sister Monica Hibbs with the help from Michelle’s husband. I love that Monica picked a woodland theme and executed the theme well. The woodland wall decals are so unique, along with the animal prints. One thing I love is the placement of the crib. I’m used to seeing crib being pushed into a corner or along a wall of the room. But Monica chose to place the crib in the middle of the room with a crib mobile coming down from a lamp shade. That makes the room very unique and airy.

10. Amber Fillerup’s girl nursery

If I were to take away anything from Amber’s tips of decorating, this is it. For small spaces, go with white so your space feels bigger and more open. If you’re (like me) working with small spaces, this tip is so helpful. I just love the white dresser she has in her baby girl’s room, with the gold details. And the white rug really pulls the room together too.

11. Camille’s boy nursery

Camille’s baby boy nursery is seriously to die for. I love the simple and minimalistic feel. But there is one thing I cannot take my eyes off from this nursery. That is the Roll Arm Daybed which can be used for nap time for mama in between nursing sessions. And later, it’s not a bad place to read a book with your kiddo when he’s older. Who wouldn’t want such a versatile piece in their house?

12. Monica Hibbs’ girl nursery

The first time I saw Monica’s peek of her nursery on her Instagram, I couldn’t look away. I’m obsessed with the peony wallpaper. It’s pink, it’s girly and it’s peonies. It makes it the perfect decor item for a baby girl’s room.

13. Emily’s gender neutral nursery

I love that Emily combined different textures of soft fabrics, woods, and metal for this gender neutral baby room. The color scheme is also very neutral and consistent with the coastal theme. This room is perfect when you don’t know the gender of the baby you’re having.

So did you find any inspiration for your future nursery? Personally, I love every single room I shared here. I don’t think I will be able to pull off a room as beautiful as any of these, but this mama will try. I hope you find ideas from this post and if you decide to have a nursery inspired by any, please share with me. I’d love to know!

✨ Wood signs for my little Prince baby shower ✨:

- I ordered custom adhesive vinyl decals to be printed for large dimensions (around 3-5 ft tall).
- Cut the shapes out, and trace the shapes on wood boards (I used 1/4” thick plywood).
- I put painter tape around the traced line to reduce wood chipping when cutting with a saw later.
- Cut the shapes on the wood boards with a jig saw.
- Brad nail leftover woods on the back to make a stand for the signs (some small pieces of 2x4 worked well).
- Apply the adhesive back of the art decals onto the wood signs.
- Enjoy! 🩵✨🎠

☺️ What I’d do different if I do this again:
1. The horse and carriage are ok, but I’d loved the castle to be taller.
2. Use foam boards instead of wood for lighter weight. Wood would be great if these signs will be outside where it might be windy, but for indoors event, I would do foam.

Lots of tulle and organza! 🩵 These are what we wore to my baby shower last year. Lucy picked out her dress herself. I had wanted her to wear blue but she couldn’t pass up the chance to wear this fluffy glittery number 💕

My birth story 🤰🏻:
I went to bed at 39w3d with contractions 10 minutes apart, but had thought they were faux labor contractions (because I had Braxton Hicks and prodromal contractions most of pregnancy) so I didn’t think much of it. I woke up at 2am and called my doctor at 4am since contractions were 7 min apart (still thinking they were not real 😂). Good thing she told me to come in. I debated if I should put makeup on and decided to not - wise decision! During the car ride, 7 min apart became 5 min apart. When we arrived at hospital, I was 6cm dilated. I asked for epidural and by the time I got one, I was 8cm dilated. I started pushing shortly after, and baby came after 20 minutes of pushing.

It has been the best experience with recovery and breastfeeding I’ve had between the 2 children. And we can’t get enough of Mr. Colt’s smiles and snuggles 🧸.
